Our moissanites are colorless and all graded D-F. Diamonds are graded on a color scale of D-Z with D being colorless and Z being very yellow. There are three grades of moissanite available today: colorless (D-E-F range), near-colorless (G-H-I range) and with faint hues of color (J-K range).

All of our moissanites are manufactured to have an excellent cut. Cut grade refers to how a stone’s facets interact with light, and diamonds are graded on a scale that ranges from ideal and excellent cuts to good and poor cuts.

Our moissanites are all graded VS1 (very slightly included) or better. A stone’s clarity is the measurement of inclusions and visual blemishes in the stone. Clarity measurements range from Flawless to Included. VS1 stones are not visible to the naked eye and do not affect the clarity of the stone.

Our moissanites are available in a variety of carat weights and are much more affordable than a mined diamond. They generally cost about $100 per carat. When budget is not a concern, you are free to choose large carats based on style. Amazing, isn’t it?

- The most effective way to tell moissanite apart from a diamond is to use a loupe to look through the top, or the crown, of the jewel at an angle. You will see two slightly blurred lines that indicates a double refraction, an inherent quality of moissanite. Double refraction is easier to see in some shapes than others.

- Yes. Just like diamonds, moissanite is graded for color, clarity, cut, polish and symmetry. Our moissanites are considered top gem quality as they are colorless (D-E-F), high clarity (VS1 or better) and have excellent cut, polish and symmetry.

- Moissanite will not lose its sparkle as time passes. The clarity and color of the stone won’t change through the years. Dirt and grime are the only common elements that may inhibit a ring’s sparkle until it is cleaned. Damaging the surface of moissanite can inhibit sparkle, as it would for any gemstone.

Although moissanite isn't a diamond, it will pass as one when tested with diamond testers that detect thermal conductivity. This is because moissanite, unlike faux diamonds and most other gemstones, is an efficient heat conductor.

Although clear to colorless moissanite is popular, the gemstone is available in a wide range of colors. You can typically find moissanite in various shades of green, gray, gold, blue, brown, purple, yellow, and pink.

- You may clean your moissanite gemstones and jewelry just as you would clean diamond fine jewelry such as using an ultrasonic or steamer. We suggest cleaning your jewelry with a soft bristle toothbrush and non-abrasive, mild soap. Simply brush your jewelry until clean like you brush your teeth and then air dry. For jewelry with substantial residue build up, repeat the cleaning process two to three times.
