Described as "emerald by day, ruby by night,” alexandrite is the very rare color-change variety of the mineral chrysoberyl. Color-changing alexandrite is nature's magic trick. In daylight, alexandrite appears greenish-blue to dark green, but in incandescent or candlelight, it looks purple to red.
The princess-cut alexandrite is held in a unique claw prong setting and has an appealing color-change hue. Shimmering pavé set diamonds embellish the shank and accentuate the sparkling alexandrite stone.
