MSBLUE IGI Certification
At MSBLUE, we prioritize transparency and quality in every aspect of our jewelry, including our lab grown diamonds. To ensure our customers receive the highest standard of excellence, we provide IGI certification for our lab grown diamonds.
What is IGI Certification?
The International Gemological Institute (IGI) is a leading authority in gemology, offering detailed grading and certification for both natural and lab grown diamonds. IGI certification ensures that your diamond meets the highest standards of quality, providing a clear and accurate assessment of its characteristics.
Grading Report Key Factors:
Cut
Assesses how well the diamond's facets reflect light, influencing its brilliance and sparkle.
Color
Measures the absence of color in a diamond, with the highest quality diamonds being colorless.
Clarity
Evaluates the presence of internal or external flaws, such as inclusions or blemishes.
Carat Weight
Indicates the size of the diamond, with larger carat weights generally commanding higher value.
What Is A Lab Grown Diamond Grading Report?
A diamond grading report is a detailed evaluation provided by independent grading laboratories. It assesses various characteristics of a diamond to help distinguish its quality and visual appeal.
What Characteristics Are Included In A Lab Grown Diamond Grading Report?
The grading report includes a comprehensive analysis of a diamond's fundamental attributes, known as the 4Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight. Each characteristic is carefully evaluated and rated to provide an accurate representation of the diamond's quality.
Carat Weight
Carat Weight
This indicates the actual physical weight of the diamond. Carat weights commonly range from 0.25 to 5 carats, but we offer a diverse selection of sizes to meet your needs.
Shape and Cut
This defines the diamond's shape and the precision of its cut. While more than 50% of grading reports are for round brilliant cut diamonds, there are many other complex shapes available. The cut is rated from “Fair” to “Excellent” based on its quality.
Proportions Diagrams
Some grading reports feature diagrams that detail the diamond's proportions, including measurements from the table (the top facet) to the culet (the small facet at the bottom).
Color Grade
This evaluates the degree of natural color present in a diamond, ranging from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow). Generally, diamonds with less natural color receive higher quality ratings.Additionally, some grading laboratories assess a diamond's fluorescence, which is the intensity of its glow under UV light. Bluish fluorescence can make diamonds appear more colorless in natural daylight or under fluorescent lighting, potentially increasing their value compared to diamonds of similar carat weight without fluorescence.
Clarity Grade
This assesses a diamond's internal and external features, including any imperfections or inclusions. The grading scale ranges from "I" (Included) for diamonds with noticeable flaws to "FL" (Flawless) for diamonds with no visible imperfections.

Cut Grade
This evaluates the precision and proportions of a diamond's facets. The cut grade reflects how well the diamond's dimensions are aligned and finished, with ratings typically ranging from “Excellent” to “Poor.”
The polish score assesses the smoothness and quality of the diamond's facets. Measurements, which are provided in millimeters, describe the diamond's width and length for non-round shapes or diameter and depth for round shapes. Diamonds with precise cuts and measurements exhibit superior sparkle and brilliance.
Grading Number
Each diamond graded by a laboratory is assigned a unique grading number, which is inscribed on the diamond's girdle and is not visible to the naked eye. This number is linked to a detailed report held by the grading lab, often accessible online. The report provides comprehensive information and comments specific to the diamond, offering insights into its graded characteristics.
