JEWELRY CARE GUIDE

We only work with enduring materials, from precious metals to premium Moissanite and colored gemstones. We have our jewelry workshop and stone factory so we can bring you beautiful, high quality jewelry under strict quality control. Our pieces are made for everyday, to be worn and loved forever.

Keep your jewelry looking its best with these tips and tricks.

MOISSANITE CARE

We suggest you clean Moissanite the same way you clean your diamond or any other fine gemstone. You may use an ultrasonic cleaner with any fine jewelry items. However, be sure to be gentle with your valuable treasures. You may also clean your Moissanite jewelry using a commercial (non-acid based) jewelry cleaner or with mild soap and water using a soft toothbrush.

GENERAL GEMSTONE CARE

Keeping your gemstones sparkling is easy! Most gemstones may be cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush. Avoid harsh chemicals that can lurk in everyday products such as lotion, perfume, and hairspray as well as household cleaners like bleach. Store your jewelry in a safe, dry place when not being worn.

925 STERLING SILVER

Made up of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, 925 sterling silver is one of the most popular materials for jewelry making thanks to its durability. Unlike pure silver, which is too soft to work with, sterling silver is harder, making the metal perfect for more intricate and complex jewelry designs.

Care

To maintain the brilliant shine of your sterling silver jewelry, avoid any contact with water. While pure water does not damage 925 sterling silver, most water we encounter is not purified. To keep that enviable shine intact, store your silver in an airtight bag with an anti-tarnish strip. Silver is durable, but can be scratched if care is not taken. To polish it without scratching, use either a special jewelry or microfiber cloth.

GOLD VERMEIL

Gold Vermeil jewelry is popular and more difficult to pronounce than to care for. Vermeil (pronounced ver-may) is a special style of gold plating that is also referred to as silver gilt. Vermeil is a gold coating that is laid over the top of a sterling silver base, which gives you the look of yellow or rose gold jewelry at a insurpassible value. Vermeil provides long-lasting color and shine.

Care

To keep your gold vermeil jewelry looking beautiful and shiny, avoid any contact with chlorine, bleach, and sweat. To clean, use a soft dry microfiber cloth to gently buff it. Do not use chemical cleaners, as it is likely to strip the jewelry of its gold finish.

RHODIUM PLATED

Rhodium is a special type of plating often used to maintain the brilliant white in silver and white gold. A silver-white metallic element that is part of the platinum family of metals, Rhodium plating is laid over the top of a sterling silver or alloyed gold base, making the jewelry more resistant to corrosion and tarnish, as well as giving it long-lasting color and shine.

Care

Wash your jewelry in a solution of warm soapy water using a soft-bristled brush. Rinse away any soapy residue and dry with a soft microfiber cloth.

GENERAL JEWELRY CARE TIPS

Take It Off.

Believe it or not, caring for your ring occasionally means taking it off, especially during the following activities:

Sports: Holding a tennis racket tightly is particularly not good for a ring with stones going all the way around - especially if you're left-handed. As for taking your ring to the gym, lifting weights with it on can be hazardous. You wouldn't want a heavy dumbbell making contact with your stone.

Gardening: It is possible to chip your stones or knock the settings loose while doing heavy yard work.

Cleaning house: It's a good idea not to wear your ring while doing the dishes: harsh chemical soaps or cleansers can soil the ring.

Safekeeping.

If you'll be taking your ring off to do the activities above, make sure you have a safe and memorable place to put it.

Keep It Free From Lotion, Sunscreen, And Perfume. These products can gunk up your ring- it's a good idea to take it off before you apply the product.

Be Careful In The Kitchen. Cookie dough, turkey loaf, a piecrust… it's great to mix with your fingers. But these foods can leave a film on your ring and really affect its luster.

Don't Wear Jewelry In Swimming Pools and Spas - Chlorinated water can react with the metals found in jewelry causing color changes and even structural damage. As a result, it's a good idea to remove jewelry before entering the pool or spa.

Remove Your Jewelry Before Bathing - Remove all jewelry before showering or cleaning. Soap can cause a film to form, making it appear dull and dingy. By preventing the formation of this film you immediately reduce the occasions of servicing.

Don’t Swim In The Ocean While Wearing Your Ring! - Cold water may shrink your fingers just enough to loosen the ring from your finger, and if you lose it in the deep blue sea, you won't be seeing it again.
